Historically in sportswear vinyl transfers and lettering hasn't always been the best.
Logos cracking and peeling off was always a problem but as technology moves on so does the printing process.
DTF (Direct to Film) printing is a method of printing designs onto a special film, which is then transferred to a garment using a heat press.
It involves printing a design onto a PET film with a white ink layer and then applying a hot-melt powder adhesive.
The film is then cured and heat-pressed onto the fabric, creating a durable and vibrant print that will stretch with the garment.
We print our DTF items in house here and it's a much faster option than embroidered items and sublimated items.
Whilst it doesn't have the longevity of sublimated items, the industry standard for DTF transfers is now 75 washes meaning that generally the logos will last as long as the garment does.
Using DTF allows us to turnaround orders quickly and complete smaller custom orders too.
